Our Mission

The mission of the Bethune-Cookman University National Alumni Association is to support the university in the attainment of its mission primarily through fund raising activities and student recruitment.

Our Vision

The Bethune-Cookman University Alumni Association (NAA) is a non-profit organization which provides financial support to the University through networking and coordination of efforts, activities, and programs to increase social and professional interaction among alumni by:

  • Promoting and encouraging ongoing strong alumni financial support of Bethune-Cookman University

  • Promoting and encouraging alumni interest in B-CU

  • Assisting with recruitment and retention of students

  • Communicating through positive interaction among alumni

  • Providing programs, activities and services that positively reflect the image of Bethune-Cookman University and the National Alumni Association

  • Conducting meetings and conferences, setting goals and providing a strong organizational system

  • Increasing the number of financial alumni and active chapters while strengthening our organization

 

 

 

 

 

Our Goals

The 2015 National Alumni Association goals are:

  • Improve communication gap between the Association with chapter Presidents and members through email, Callingposts, teleconferences, one-on-one meetings and chapter visits

  • Require more accountability of chapter presidents

  • Retain current members, recruit new local, national and life members through more membership incentives and engagement

  • Revitalize defunct chapters that have been ‘inactive’ for the past 2 or more years and establish new chapters

  • Increase Alumni giving two-fold with a special giving program

  • Continue assisting B-CU with student recruitment

  • Utilize opportunities afforded the Association through the University’s Alumni Affairs Office
