If you are interested in being a write-in candidate for a NAA vacant office, please complete and return the requested information. Please be aware that as an official write-in candidate, your name will not be printed on the ballot, however, if application is approved, you may campaign, and voters will be allowed to write your name in the appropriate category.

2017 Vacancies

 


 

Vice-President

The Vice President shall be actively involved and knowledgeable of all duties and responsibilities of the President and shall perform all the duties of the President during the latter’s absence and shall succeed to the presidency in the event of withdrawal or resignation of the President for any reason. The Vice President shall also perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Committee.

To qualify for the office of Vice President, a member must have:

  • Have been in good standing of the Association and a local chapter for at least two (2) consecutive fiscal years immediately prior to seeking an elective office and served on the Executive Committee or Board of Directors

  • Attended at least one (1) National Meeting within the last two fiscal years prior to seeking an elective office

  • Become a Life or Subscribing Life member prior to seeking the office

Treasurer

 
The Treasurer shall be bonded, hold all funds of the Association in a reputable bank, write checks only after presentation of voucher signed by the President or Financial Secretary. The Treasurer shall have complete charge of all financial transactions of the Association. The Treasurer must deposit all monies no later than seven (7) business days after receiving said funds in an approved bank under the name of the Association. The Treasurer shall supervise the preparation of the annual budget and issue at least one (1) financial statement at least 60 days prior to the close of each fiscal year. The statement shall be audited in accordance with Article VII, Section 3, Budget and Finance, Part K, page16.

To qualify for the office of Treasurer, a member must have:

  • Have been in good standing of the Association and a local chapter for at least two (2) consecutive fiscal years immediately prior to seeking an elective office and served on the Executive Committee or Board of Directors

  • Attended at least one (1) National Meeting within the last two fiscal years prior to seeking an elective office

  • Become a Life Member or Subscribing Life member prior to seeking the office

Chaplain

The Chaplain shall hold devotional periods before each session of the National meeting, Board of Directors/Executive Committee meetings and other called meetings.
 

To qualify for the office of Chaplain, a member must have:

  • Have been in good standing of the Association and a local chapter for at least two (2) consecutive fiscal years immediately prior to seeking an elective office and served on the Executive Committee or Board of Directors

  • Attended at least one (1) National Meeting within the last two fiscal years prior to seeking an elective office

  • Become a Life Member or Subscribing Life member prior to seeking the office

Recording Secretary

The Recording Secretary shall keep a record of the proceedings of the National Meeting, the Board of Directors, and the Executive Board, and those recordings shall be permanently preserved. The Secretary shall perform all other duties of such office and be subject to the directions of the President, the Board of Directors/Executive Committee of the Association.
 

To qualify for the office of Recording Secretary, a member must have:

  • Have been in good standing of the Association and a local chapter for at least two (2) consecutive fiscal years immediately prior to seeking an elective office and served on the Executive Committee or Board of Directors

  • Attended at least one (1) National Meeting within the last two fiscal years prior to seeking an elective office

  • Become a Life Member or Subscribing Life member prior to seeking the office

Alumni Trustee Representative

To qualify for the office of Alumni Trustee, a member must have:

  • Have been in good standing of the Association and a local chapter for at least two (2) consecutive fiscal years immediately prior to seeking an elective office and served on the Executive Committee or Board of Directors

  • Attended at least one (1) National Meeting within the last two fiscal years prior to seeking an elective office

  • Become a Life Member or Subscribing Life member prior to seeking the office
